Welcome to the Boys and Girls Club of New Haven!
“Celebrating 140 Years of Service to Youth in New Haven”
 

The Boys & Girls Club of New Haven empowers young people that need us most to BE GREAT by equipping them with the necessary tools to help them achieve success.   Our 140 year history and legacy in the community has allowed us to serve youth and create a unique trust with families for generations.  

 
The Club offers Afterschool, Summer, Teen and Sports programs to over 200 youth daily.  We currently have two program sites, one in the Hill neighborhood and a new site in the Fair Haven Heights neighborhood of New Haven in partnership with the Housing Authority of New Haven.

The Boys & Girls Club of New Haven is part of a nationwide affiliation of local, independent, community-based organizations that provide kids with:

 

  • A safe and positive place after school and during the summer that's an alternative to the streets or being home alone.
  • A chance to play, have fun, laugh and learn.
  • The ability for a child to build new skills that allow children to succeed and receive recognition for personal accomplishments.
  • Ongoing relationships with caring adults.
  • A sense of belonging, personal accountability, civility and civic responsibility.
  • Generation changing programs that support a commitment to learning, positive values, healthy habits and high expectations for success as an adult.
